The AlNiCo magnets feature a high remanent flux density value and a low coercive force value. The maximum energy product is at the level approx. 60 kJ/m3. Development of the dependence of the induction on the magnetic field intensity in the second quadrant of the hysteresis loop is strongly nonlinear, with a considerable bend. On this account, the AlNiCo magnets are very sensitive to demagnetization by external magnetic field or when they are removed from the closed magnetic circuit. They are used e.g. in measuring instruments or also in electric rotating machines, however in most cases there is the need to build in an additional magnetizing winding. The AlNiCo magnets can be used in the electric permanent holding systems, a low coercivity makes it possible for these magnets to be easily remagnetized to an opposite polarity.
